Who are you?

Behind Neue is the team that also brings you RELEVANT magazine. What RELEVANT is for consumers, Neue is for the leaders, innovators and frontliners who are shaping the future of the Church.

Is this for young adult pastors?

Neue is for ministry leaders who are outwardly focused, authentic and passionate about connecting people with God. (It's not just about pastoring—it's for anyone with a heart for ministry.) It's about a new perspective, about connecting with people and being part of what God is doing today. Neue readers are forward-thinking, innovative and asking the tough questions. Is it for young adult ministry? Sure, but it's more about a psychographic than a specific demographic.

What denomination is Neue?

Neue has no specific denominational affiliation or bias. We value the Gospel of Jesus, outward living, sacrificial Christianity and making a difference in the world. Other than that, we're not going to pick sides regarding theological semantics. No one has it perfectly figured out anyway.

Why the name change/different focus from RELEVANT?

The RELEVANT name was being hijacked by well-intentioned but (we feel) misguided people in ministry circles. We saw pastors starting to use the term "relevant" as an adjective describing a style or approach to ministry, and it made our skin crawl. The purpose of RELEVANT's name is that the magazine covers the issues that are relevant to our readers. Faith is a big part of that conversation because we feel a relationship with God is relevant and important to everyday life. Never, ever did we intend RELEVANT's name to imply that Christians or the Church need to be "relevant" in style or approach to reach non-Christians. That's not our focus or purpose, and we were tired of pastors putting their own definitions and assumptions on the RELEVANT brand. So, as part of the process of clarifying and reimagining God's calling on our company for the next 10 years and beyond, we saw the clear need to differentiate our products intended for consumers and our products intended for ministry leaders. We felt a new season, a new vision for ministry and a new message was needed. Alas, Neue was born.
